How The GOP's Congress Override On The Veto Of Thier 9/11 Bill Could Backfire On US Taxpayers (BONUS: Proof Of Mitch McConnell Lying)

This bill and it's implications is a convoluted one so I can understand how Republicans might have a difficulty with it.

CONGRESS OVERRIDES PRESIDENT OBAMA'S 9/11 VETO OCTOBER 3, 2016 - President Obama receives his first veto override when Congress votes to allow American families affected by 9/11 to sue Saudi Arabia. (4:09)

In depth...

Congress managed to override a veto making it possible for 9/11 families to sue Saudi Arabia for the actions of 19 people on 9/11 because of their nationality.

The problem;

Obama is worried that America might have to answer for it's past crimes (Kissinger is a well accepted war criminal internationally as are Bush-Cheney for their war crimes. While in America Bush attends ceremonies and Kissinger gets medals i.e. in most countries killing innocent people for any reason is frowned upon, especially en mass. To do it to 'save face' shows a criminal mind on the level with Hitler). In other words, if we can sue other countries for the actions of its citizens then they can sue us for the same reason. If we can sue a country or government then they can too. In yet other words, Congress passed a law that equalizes the standing of nations in view of the law! (first time they ever promoted equality in decades!)

... not to mention the most obvious one... can any 9/11 family POSSIBLY win a case against Saudi Arabia in a civilian court given which way the evidence points? i.e. On 9/11 - The Few VS The Many: How A Few Experts Using "Government Authority" Managed To Outweigh The Many On Network News

Why what Congress did is unprecedented;

In other words the reason Japan can't sue us for dropping nuclear bombs on two inhabited cities killing thousands of innocent people like we did the Native Americans (rather than in uninhabited areas to make a point of the new technological advancement) is because of sovereign nation immunity.

The situation we have now;

What could America possibly be sued for? Here a list;

Kissinger's genocides;

Henry Kissinger’s “mad and illegal” bombing: What you need to know about his real historyand why the Sanders/Clinton exchange matters Sanders is right about Kissinger. His civilian death toll nears 4 million, his policies built today's Middle East

Henry Kissinger’s genocidal legacy: Vietnam, Cambodia and the birth of American militarism Nixon introduced us to permanent, extrajudicial war in Southeast Asia, and it continues today in the Middle East

Nixon and Kissinger’s Forgotten Shame

Kissinger’s 1974 Plan for Food Control Genocide

4 Million Muslims Killed In Western Wars: Should We Call It Genocide? Hearkening back to the Japanese interment camps of WWII, some Americans are now calling for Muslims to be placed in camps or even openly calling for genocide against the 1.6 billion practitioners of the faith. (In this context you should probably keep in mind that the west probably created Israel to send Jews someplace since they clearly didn't want Jewish refuges. It's political suicide to do so now since they are big donators but they have the same fake enemy to focus on i.e. the Muslims. If they wipe out the Muslims then the Jews will probably becomes Christianity's next target, again)

For example; CONSEQUENCES OF THE CONGRESSIONAL OVERRIDE OCTOBER 3, 2016 - After Congress votes to give American families the right to sue foreign nations for terrorism, Roy Wood Jr. announces his plan to settle up on slavery. (2:17)

Next, from the first video above, Mitch McConnell shows up doing his standard GOP con job (probably paid for and choreographed by the Koch Brothers, as usual. I know Jon Stewart proved that somewhere);

 Trevor Noah uses humor to show how much time and how much news media time had already been spent on this information (including the fact that the President vetoed the bill... didn't Mitch McConnell think to ask why before voting on it again? i.e. Mitch is now speaking gibberish which only works because of tabloid "news" media such as Fox News);

Blog post: Information/Press 3 - The GOP / Fox News Fake Conservative Echo Chamber

Explanation: Mitch is using the GOP's echo chamber to push the idea that he couldn't have known of any consequences, it's all Obama's fault. The exact same strategy he used to block economic development and blame it on Obama. Reminder;

ARMADEBTDON 2011 - MEN OF A CERTAIN RAGE JULY 14, 2011 - Republicans abdicate the "doing s**t" part of debt ceiling responsibility to Obama, but retain the "complaining about the guy doing s**t" part for themselves. (3:29)

1. "I would advocate that we pass legislation giving the president the authority to REQUEST of us an increase in the debt ceiling that would take us past the end of his term" - "that [legislation] would be subject to disapproval. That resolution of disapproval, if passed, would then go to the president, he could sign it or he could veto it." - McConnell - Theme: Passing legislation to 'disapprove it later.

2. "The reason default is no better idea today than when Newt Gengrich tried it in 1995, is it destroys your brand [i.e. America's credit rating] and would give the president the opportunity to blame Republicans for bad economy" - Defaulting was seriously tried by Newt in 1995.

3. "Look, he owns the economy. He's been in office almost 3 years now and we refuse to let him entice us into co-ownership of a bad economy" McConnel - The co-ownership is referring to the United states economy.

Important Republican Party Position: McConnel admits that making sure Obama is a one term President is his primary political goal. This means that the worse the economy is the better chances are that Obama will be a one term president.

At one point, McConnell said: "I have little question that as long as this president is in the Oval Office, a real solution is unattainable." In an interview with CBS News, the president noted that McConnell has described his major political goal as making Obama a one-term president.

i.e. He won't negotiate or help the country IN ANY WAY as long as Obama is in office IS the basic GOP political strategy since Obama took office.

ARMADEBTDON 2011 - NONFICTION CAPTAIN AMERICA JULY 25, 2011 - When it comes to resolving the debt ceiling crisis, Congress is the equivalent of a skunk with its head in a jar of Skippy peanut butter. (4:56)

Not to mention that standard hypocrisy of opposing debt ceiling increases for the 2 wars that they funded with debt...

ARMADEBTDON 2011 - RIGHTANS JULY 26, 2011 - John Boehner reveals the Republican plan to destroy government and create a super-race of right-wing Titans. (3:01)
[Note: Left out unfunded Bush wars + the huge reduction in taxes for the rich which is the single largest contributor towards the debt i.e. if you don't remove the causes of a problem the problem will persist.]

... and for which they INCREASED the debt ceiling for 7 times! (Do they think that debt disappears after their President leaves office?)...

DANCING ON THE CEILING JUNE 2, 2011 - Republicans show their Tea Party base that they're against raising the debt ceiling, while reassuring Wall Street that it's political theater. (3:45)

Above: George Bush increased the debt ceiling in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006. 2007 and twice in 2008
