Ronald Reagan's Policies Began The Destruction Of The Middle Class & The Constitution

Of Reagan's policies we know that this is what he set out to do:

"Only by reducing the growth of government," said Ronald Reagan, "can we increase the growth of the economy." Reagan's 1981 Program for Economic Recovery had four major policy objectives: (1) reduce the growth of government spending, (2) reduce the marginal tax rates on income from both labor and capital, (3) reduce regulation, and (4) reduce inflation by controlling the growth of the money supply.

... and he accomplished the exact opposite with a booming deficit, and the financial crisis of 2008 which Reagan laid deregulation polices laid the foundation for, not to mention the inflating currency which minimum wage has barely kept up up leaving most of the country in poverty wages. Bush did the same thing with the same results... and now the GOP are once again pushing the same policies whose results we have documented over almost 20 years of GOP administrations proving them to be bad polices. But the GOP owns so much of the media that they are winning elections almost solely on lies and fear based marketing.

Did Reagan's policies destroy the middle class? That one is an easy yes...

How Reaganomics Destroyed The Middle Class...And Maybe America

Notice in the following images how badly everyone but the rich have been doing since Reagan's polices. It's amazing that Republicans, being mostly poor & middle class folk, have been voting against their interests and for the interests of a very few rich people for the past 40 years. A population voting against their own interests for such a long time surely can't be a healthy phenomenon?

The National Debt went up under: Reagan 186%, Bush W. 77%... (what the following statistic show is that only the rich benefited from Reagan's policies)

Going deeper...

This is the full length 90 min. version of Bill Moyer's 1987 scathing critique of the criminal subterfuge carried out by the Executive Branch of the United States Government to carry out operations which are clearly contrary to the wishes and values of the American people. *** WITH SOUND! Only a small piece (about 1 1/2 minute) is without sound, for a copyrighted bit of music. Full sound resumes at 3:20 ***

The ability to exercise this power with impunity is facilitated by the National Security Act of 1947. The thrust of the exposé is the Iran-Contra arms and drug-running operations which flooded the streets of our nation with crack cocaine. The significance of the documentary is probably greater today in 2007 than it was when it was made. We now have a situation in which these same forces have committed the most egregious terrorist attack on US soil and have declared a fraudulent so-called "War on Terror". The ruling regime in the US who have conducted the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, are now banging the war drum against Iran.
Questions to ask yourself about GOP policies going to to the Reagan era:

Was Reagans executive order creating the NSA actually to protect the GOP from anotherWatergate?

Are Reagans Death Squads of S. America & the instability they caused part of the reason we are having such a large immigration influx?
