Notice the black banjo player at 2 min 50 secs if called "one of OUR boys" by Yosemite Sam. Same mentality exists today. North Vs South conflict/Civil-War stereotypes in Bugs Bunny cartoons. Middle of the 20th Century.

Horse Hare...

"Half-Breed" at 2 mins. (Wikipedia definition here). North Vs South (Civil War) & Native American Stereotypes in Bugs Bunny cartoons.

Southern Stereotypes in Bugs Bunny cartoons: In the Mountains of the South/Midwest you find a kind of "warrior" type of American. As it is, guns are a part of the culture, which some people think is the reason of the excessive death by guns in the States. It is a cause of death but not the main reason (social breakdown is a more likely culprit.).  Note: I'm viewing this gun thing statistically, as most people with training in economics do.
