Media In A Nutshell: How The "Fact" Based Media Allows Fox News To Get Away With Lies ON An Everyday Basis Using Rachel Maddow As An Example

Liberal media lives in a bubble where the main source of lies in this Nation is ignored because - well, my thesis is - that they are cowards (or bought or a mix of both). In any case, anything that goes wrong can be traced to Fox News, the GOP AND the media's absolute - and apparently permanent - refusal to do their job and expose them (that's why Obama had so many problems). Thus Fox News has a 50%+ share of the total media market (or so they say) making Fox News the ONLY "mainstream media" outlet I can find and thus becomes my main research and "blogging about" channel.

I should be clear that I think it is the "Liberal Medias" fault that lies go unchallenged  in modern day politics ("Liberal media" is any media that focuses on facts over "truthiness" and are demonized for doing so... as the Nazi's did... seriously, that where they get their tactics from!). The last person to do that seems to have been Jon Stewart of the Daily Show. With his retirement news about the stuff Fox News does has entered a black hole as the rest of the media (who have many "conservative" board members controlling them) seem to have decided not to challenge Fox News lies on a daily basis like Jon Stewart did.

First I'll outline the problem using Rachel Maddow videos as an example of what must have happened to the media as a whole. Then I'll provide links to show the problem of not catching liars, because they call themselves a "news channel", in the form of past post links.

The Problem (Case Study);

1. Egomania makes a person think they can bring down Fox News with one segment

Fox News ducks falsehoods problem with ratings boast - Rachel Maddow points out that Bill O'Reilly and his network, Fox News, have not substantively addressed a series of falsehoods by Mr. O'Reilly and instead appear to be trying to distract from their credibility problem with ratings non sequiturs. Duration: 8:11

Highlights;

This is because Bill O Reilly is a professional liar (and really good at it when he has to deal with inexperienced liberal cowards!).

More lies.

The first defense these liars have when exposed is to double down.

Turns out Bill O Reilly has been lying allot. No big surprise. I've cataloged alot of this on this blog and clearly have alot more documenting to do.

Clearly they believe making money by lying means lying is OK. Which makes deceiving and betraying the people OK if you are paid to do it... which seems to be the media's default position (they let Fox News frame Muslims and were basically OK with it. Must have been what the early days of Nazi Germany was like.)

This is how much Rachel Maddow has said;

2. Rachel Maddow catches the WHOLE media lying about something (like Jon Stewart did at one time)

Rachel Maddow Talks About The Bush Dynasty & How The Media Doesn't Talk About The Wars They Have Started

This post just focuses on that aspect of this video that deals with the Bush Dynasty that is a dynasty in the truest send of the word;

Prompt US withdrawal from Afghanistan increasingly unlikely - Rachel Maddow reports on the visit by Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to the U.S. to thank U.S. service members and taxpayers for the war effort, and shows how distorting the timetable for a U.S. draw-down makes actual withdrawal less likely to happen.

3. She thinks she can stop the media from covering up their part in the Iraq Oil War Cover-up (that Jon Stewart railed about, again and again)

Rachel Maddow On The Iraq War Lies Ignored In Republican Campaign Coverage By The Beltway Media

Iraq war lies ignored in Republican campaign coverage - Rachel Maddow sets the record straight on the deliberate lies told to support the decision to go to war in Iraq, and talks with Dan Rather of AXS TV about how political coverage of "the Iraq question" is allowing Republican candidates to re-write history.

Dick Cheney's record on Iraq shows that he pursued war with utter disregard for anyone but his own benefit...

Halliburton got $7B in no-bid Iraq contracts

During Vice President Dick Cheney's tenure as its chief executivethe Halliburton Corporation altered its accounting policies so it could report as revenue more than $100 million in disputed costs on big construction projects, public filings by the company show. Halliburton did not disclose the change to investors for over a year.

Vice President Dick Cheney’s stock options in Halliburton rose from $241,498 in 2004 to over $8 million in 2005, an increase of more than 3,000 percent, as Halliburton continues to rake in billions of dollars from no-bid/no-audit government contracts.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 26, 2003: Cheney's Halliburton Ties Remain

(CBS/AP) A report by the Congressional Research Service undermines Vice President Dick Cheney's denial of a continuing relationship with Halliburton Co., the energy company he once led, Sen. Frank Lautenberg said Thursday.

The report says a public official's unexercised stock options and deferred salary fall within the definition of "retained ties" to his former company.

Cheney said Sunday on NBC that since becoming vice president, "I've severed all my ties with the company, gotten rid of all my financial interest. I have no financial interest in Halliburton of any kind and haven't had, now, for over three years."

4. Then Maddow ran away from Fox News... like ALL of "Liberal" media MUST have done before!;

Disgraced Fox News exec Roger Ailes to help Trump Rachel Maddow looks back at Roger Ailes' history as a Republican strategist before he became the guiding Republican force shaping Fox News, and notes reports that he is now working with the Trump campaign.

What I want to take issue with in this post is this comment;

At approx 15:20: "... he is the one that came up with the idea of fair and balanced as an intentionally ironic slogan to let the country know that they could get their all conservative all the time official Republican television on this one cable news channel while slamming all other sources of news as being unbalanced because they weren't right-wing like Fox . LOVE IT OR HATE IT IT WORKED. ..."

Essentially, rather than deal with the lies and correct them (on a daily basis - with names - if necessary... and it is) the media chooses to fight them on marketing tactics. It's beyond crazy at this point. For example calling base of misinformed people GOP uses for it's power "Conservatives" as if being a mob of misinformed people is a thing. It was a thing In Germany at one time to lie and making policy decision based on those lies. So basically the media allows a nazi like network allowed to operate in the open while leaving out the fact that THESE PEOPLE ARE BEING LIED TO and it's their job to correct these lies which they are not doing. Instead, "Fox News has won" in the attitude. So they go about doing useless things.

In detail;

Fox News

Note: I may have scared Maddow off from accurate truth telling by convincing her of 9/11 (If so. My bad).... Obama did imply it was up to the people... and the media control the people's views.

Summary of situation;

Rachel Maddow VS Fox News

In any case, Maddow decided to fight back. That was fun. Most of em don't, or they hide/don't-upload the videos :(
