Background:
Many people remember the GOP's Ebola freak-out and vaccine freak-out... what they don't remember is where these mass beliefs come from. Introducing, master fear mongerer and anti-science pundit of the source, Fox News & The GOP (Note: This is a compilation of previous posts that got messed up and reflects a writing style I no longer have)...
Highlights
1 death, 2 infected... both by an ill equipped hospital which happens to be in Rick Perry's State who has been running for President for 2016. Need I say more for Bill's motivations?
Fear mongering seems to be the media's primary method of functioning. It's how they get viewers and keep them. In other words, the media is literally bad for mental health! Hmmm... I wonder how many crimes by the mentally unstable can be linked to Bill O Reilly?
O'Reilly Repeatedly Demonized Abortion Provider Dr. George Tiller And Then Lied About It After Tiller Was Murdered
• O'Reilly Repeatedly Referred To Tiller As "The Baby Killer." [6/2/09]
• In 2006, O'Reilly Sent His Producer To "Confront" The "Doctor Known As Tiller The Baby Killer." [11/8/06]
• In 2007, O'Reilly Again Sent A Producer To Ambush The "Doctor Known As Tiller The Baby Killer." [Fox News, The O'Reilly Factor, 6/12/07]
• After Tiller Was Murdered, O'Reilly Repeatedly Falsely Claimed He Had Only Reported What Other Groups Called Tiller. [6/2/09]
• O'Reilly Subsequently Accused Joan Walsh Of Having "Blood On Her Hands" For Defending Tiller. [Fox News, The O'Reilly Factor, 6/12/09]
• In 2012, O'Reilly Was Still Claiming That "What Tiller Was Doing Was Murder."[Fox News, The O'Reilly Factor, 3/1/12]

Well, in Bill O Reilly's world sometimes they use an expert sometimes they get people to act like experts. Since corporations dictate who comes on and who doesn't they can create a media wide echo chamber if they want to. Given how expectations drive the markets (especially on oil) this can be a very profitable side business for media corporations i.e. making money off the stock market by driving expectations in the masses to drive up or to reduce prices of any stock or industry.

Commentary On Above Video
1:15 - Key Word = Risky Mortgages
2:20 - EVERYONE ON FOX BUSINESS INCLUDING EX-JUDGE NAPOLITANO FOLLOW THE SAME TALKING POINTS
3:20 - Jon Stewart begin to prove that several "business" channels not only don't know how a purchase of a business work but they also don't remember history (or maybe they just don't have access to any records of what they have already said & since all the media is basically using a Rupert Murdoch rag, i.e. Wall street Journal, they end up thinking the same distorted thoughts!)
4:15 - Even the guy Fox Business & Co. are pretending to protect (based on my year of observation) said he put aside money for the asset/business they bought for any liabilities (basic accounting practice). He put aide $28 Billion.
As Jamie Dimon explains... "Any liability related to the assets themselves will come with us". The ex-Judge AND none of hi BUSINESS channel co-horts know what an asset is! & they are talking about business!

Now Bill is just pulling stuff out of his arse. There is no evidence to suggest that any Fox News poll isn't deliberately designed to be misleading. Except for possibly ones they create through their echo chambers in the media (they are misleading in a different way).
So the rest of this show is irrelevant.

As for this sort of media coverage being appropriate and not designed around some negative purpose (fear sells) is debatable. Here is a list of other serious issues the media chooses NOT to cover despite it being more than 1 death & 2 side infections on American's who have been removed from Texas as per normal sanity precautions;

6 things Americans should fear more than Ebola
Three cases in Texas do not an epidemic make. We should all be more concerned about heart disease and gun violence
New York Times columnist Frank Bruni recently interviewed Jeffrey Duchin, chairman of the public health committee of the Infectious Diseases Society of America. “People get very fearful and stressed out and have a lot of anxiety about things like Ebola that aren’t a general health risk. Just look at causes of death in the United States. Everything is higher than Ebola, and there are things that we can do about many of them,” said Duchin, sensibly putting things into perspective.
Americans tend to worry a great deal about illnesses they shouldn’t worry about, while at the same time not worrying about very real threats to their health.
The point of all this is that we can be understandably concerned about Ebola without losing perspective. Ebola is not the thing to worry about. Right-wing politicians, who ignorantly talk about quarantining all of Africa (which health professionals have warned would make it harder to track the disease, not easier), and about children bringing Ebola across the border from Central America (where Ebola is unknown), and about washing your hands with water to kill Ebola, would serve us better if they turned their influence to things that really kill Americans. So far, at least, Ebola is not one of them.

Correct. It's why the GOP, Fox News AND Bill O Reilly use race baiting in their political strategy while blaming liberals for their deeds (& driving the kids mad with confusion & anger).
This isn't even news. Nixon made race baiting the GOP's political strategy as the only way to secure white majority voters who were unfamiliar with other races by encouraging them to fear other races (or at least to disrespect them).

The Southern Strategy as applied today can be summarized as "It's not us it's the black guy (Obama)".
Correct. That's why Bill has to use innovative ways to race bait WITHOUT sounding racist. Lee Atwater is where Bill & his colleagues draw their strategies from...
Lee Atwater explains how Republicans can win the vote of racists without sounding racist themselves:
You start out in 1954 by saying, “Nigger, nigger, nigger.” By 1968 you can’t say “nigger”—that hurts you, backfires. So you say stuff like, uh, forced busing, states’ rights, and all that stuff, and you’re getting so abstract. Now, you’re talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you’re talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is, blacks get hurt worse than whites.… “We want to cut this,” is much more abstract than even the busing thing, uh, and a hell of a lot more abstract than “Nigger, nigger.”

Correct. In other words, Bill & the GOP have no Constitutional support for their political strategy. i.e. it's Constitutionally illegal not to mention it's sheer immorality.
Correct. Especially where winning elections are concerned. I refer the reader, once again, to the GOP's (& Bill's) political strategy links:

Makes sense. There are laws against discrimination so lawsuits often follow. Though, I'm guessing that's not what Bill is trying to get at.
No. Getting reparations for injustices done to you is obviously wrong. If that was allowed then the GOP would no longer exist and Bill would be in prison.
Wow. Just when I thought Bill couldn't get any crazier in his views!
For someone who pretends to be smart (& has been pretending this for so long he probably believes it) thsi statement is very funny.

OK.
We are not Africa.
That may have been me on twitter. I think I have noticed the GOP/Bill/Fox/GlennBeck attack Liberals/Dems for stuff I say on twitter rather than confront me directly. I'm not entirely sure yet as it sounds completely crazy but I do have clear evidence of many times when Bill has copied me so it makes sense that in their schizo minds this sort of backwards blame game could be effective tactic for them?
In any case, my point on twitter was that GIVEN the scientific evidence on Ebola the only logical reason for Bill's fanatical opposition to travel had to be racial in nature since that is his parties political strategy since Nixon...

This is overly dramatic and simply designed to mislead i.e. as a cover for Bill's lies (see links above)
This assumes we already don't have doctors who understand Ebola. I'm sure this is a tactic that will work with the 'willing to be fooled' idiots of the GOP but in a world where people use science, not so much. As later events showed us.
A standard emotional tactic to manipulate Obama into listening to him. It's like me saying, "Will Bill O Reilly finally expose Dick Cheney for lying about the effects of invading Iraq & how those actions subsequently created ISIS"? Only difference is I'm using facts while Bill is just bullying people to listen to him. That said, that's a big difference.
Note: This obviously doesn't apply for a GOP President who is supported in killing Americans if it for oil...

The Ebola scare and the economy - Oct. 17, 2014 - 4:23 - Lou Dobbs weighs in on the stock market losing almost a trillion dollars since the scare began
Notes:
Bill starts off saying "Ebola & The Economy" as we started off last week' which couldn't be more apt since he has been fear mongering on Ebola for a while (as he's found of saying ' he has the number show on cable news', if that isn't enough to influence opinions, I don't know what is) and started pushing on the Stock Market last week (probably looking to make a fast buck).

'Stock market is rigged'. Yes! They use networks like Fox Business to rig em (using a massive echo chamber)! Notice how Bill tries to distance himself from knowing anything about the Stock Market? Classic decoy.
Confirmed from Lou Dobbs of Fox Business (Sister Network to Fox News) that Ebola affected the stock market i.e. their fear mongering and their admitted ability to influence public opinion is being used to manipulate the Stock Market. They just don't say it in the same show. I bet they could though, Fox News & Business viewers seem to be dumber than dirt at this point.
Note: I know that manipulation of the stock market is kinda taken for granted in the underground truth movement. It's kinda obvious when you do insider trading that manipulating the stock market will be right up their alley. I'm just a voice in the dark :( with no one to hear me except people who already know and can do nothing about it. GOP now controls most of the corporations in the economy and thus the Government.

True. It's why the GOP uses this as it's main political strategy. In fact, it can be argued that years of use of this strategy has been bad for the mental health of the population and created unnecessary division based on wedge issues.

That's why it has to be wrapped up in attractive colors as my posts above prove.
Simply stating something isn't enough. You have to apply it as well.
Even the Founding Fathers must have known that allot of work needs to be done to make the Declaration of Independence come true (when it was written United States did not even exist till after the War for Independence, i.e. even when it was written it was considered to be a work in progress).
Example 1:
Thomas Jefferson was a consistent opponent of slavery his whole life. Calling it a “moral depravity” and a “hideous blot,” he believed that slavery presented the greatest threat to the survival of the new American nation. Jefferson also thought that slavery was contrary to the laws of nature, which decreed that everyone had a right to personal liberty. These views were radical in a world where unfree labor was the norm.
Example 2:
We are endlessly fascinated with Jefferson, in part because we seem unable to reconcile the rhetoric of liberty in his writing with the reality of his slave owning and his lifetime support for slavery. Time and again, we play down the latter in favor of the former, or write off the paradox as somehow indicative of his complex depths.
Neither Mr. Meacham, who mostly ignores Jefferson’s slave ownership, nor Mr. Wiencek, who sees him as a sort of fallen angel who comes to slavery only after discovering how profitable it could be, seem willing to confront the ugly truth: the third president was a creepy, brutal hypocrite.

This statement seems kind of random. First of all it doesn't make sense (maybe it's out of context dimwit) and second of all when he states something like this he should cite a source.

Project orange? Infect an NBC cameraman with a virus in common occurrence in Africa and see what happens. If that's what Bush was doing then Bill has even more to answer for than I had even imagined. In any case, the camera man is still alive and an American. If Bill is going to try and create conspiracy theories he should focus on topics that aren't easily investigatable.
I'm sure they are. Bill and his allies in the media have spent allot of effort portraying the 2 cases of Ebola in the country (both in Texas where they have shown a proclivity to be indifferent to their own citizens but a black guy from another country? I'm thinking it was intentional mistreatment out of indifference or just plain incompetence, like indicting the governor for corruption and not for being pro child abuse) ... as an epidemic. Reminded me of this video from the Bush Era Fox News...
Avian Flu: Fox News, like the Medici family, knows how to put a silver lining on a global pandemic. (2:48)

Bill's (& Fox News's) primary tactic seems to be to go positive on everything during GOP Administrations and all negative during Democrat Administrations. Facts are irrelevant.
Yes. Bill would be the one exaggerating it (or rather trying to), I guess the rest of the media is having trouble calling 2 Ebola cases in Rick Perry's state Obama's fault?
It's not the Federal Governments exaggeration that I'm worried about but the GOP "conservatives". To take things out of context as their whole political strategy is misinforming the American People whom it is their job to serve NOT to manipulate. Here's another example of a Bush Era report...
The Word - Perspective: There's nothing wrong with the number 2,000. Hell, five years ago we were celebrating it. (3:41) {Compare to the negative spin on the 4 deaths in Benghazi for proper context}

He's talking like thoseblack people (West Africans) have the zombie virus.
Once again, it's amazing how much the media can manipulate the polls and then talk like they exist independent of it.
Here is a rare video of Fox News congratulating itself on a good poll manipulation campaign;

Yup. That's what Bill has been pushing for for the last 2 weeks. For someone to do something more. And, from the looks of it he's going to keep doing that ad infinitum.
This is funny. Bill probably saw Stephen Colbert mocking his "Not Scientific" poll and was probably insulted by the "C minus" joke (Bill really is that egotistical), so now his "poll" is like one of Saddam Husseins poll or any poll that we expect from Dictator run countries.
Bill O'Reilly Takes Offense - Fox News's Bill O'Reilly lashes out at Stephen for praising his plan to win the war on terror with a mercenary army. (5:48):

97% on a show that spends all it's time insulting the Federal Government because the Prez is black as per Bill's & his party's political strategy. I guess it could be an estimate of his poll takers beliefs and not just an attempt to get an A Plus?
The one dead here?
It's why Obama has Boots On The Ground there. You should thank him.
Yeah, kinda sucks that America has to do anything... but on the plus side we seem to have stolen a ton of what we own from the poor (no, notthe oil war but the economic collapse with those tax shelters as hiding places etc. that the GOP is hiding so well by owning the media).
Boy, Bill is REALLY pushing for his ideas big time!
Let Jon Stewart add some perspective here;
Au Bon Panic - A nurse in Dallas, Texas becomes the second person in the U.S. infected with Ebola, sending the media into another fear-mongering tailspin. (8:22):

Dither is my word from the 2011/12 primaries. Bill attempts a 'great minds think alike' tactic in his talking points video but the reality is that Bill only comes up with stupid ideas or phrases UNLESS he steals them (Well, this isn't the best example for that since I got it myself from Alan Watts on Zen i.e. "do not dither between opposites" - so this one kinda sticks out in my memory - but there are other things Bill has copied from me and Newt did as well which was bad for my ideas more than anything else... boy, I have a history with these fools now!). As for false information? That was Bill O Reilly's primary job under the Bush Administration which he continues faithfully to this day.
A long overdue investigative report (overdue by several years!), stated plainly that the authorities seem to have intentionally misled us into a war...

What we have here is two TEXAN nurses from the same TEXAN hospital who haven't been trained properly defying earlier comments on how good that hospital was (there are some basic tips on Ebola Protocols below). Both Nurses happen to be non-whites which is a cause for further concern given that Texan hospital authorities didn't even follow standard Ebola protocol for treatment with the first non-white patient. I'm half expecting the CIA to say "we infected them with needles to help Bill O Reilly"!

First off, he's taking this '3 cases of Ebola means CDC leader - who wasn't in charge in Texas - should be fired' a little too seriously. Imagine if he felt that way about misleading millions of people, even in today's media environment, into a fake war? Anyways.
What Bill is doing with the CDC guy is suggesting that dealing with the problem up front isn't a good solution. In other words, Bill is choosing to ignore certain psychological facts. If people are denied flights from one country they will go to another. If people are denied alcohol they will find a way and a black market will emerge like in the Prohibition. It's like Bill purposely tries to unlearn even the most basic psychological facts to become as stupid as he possibly can.

More information (and videos) about PBS's Prohibition:
PROHIBITION is a three-part, five-and-a-half-hour documentary film series directed by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick that tells the story of the rise, rule, and fall of the Eighteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and the entire era it encompassed.
Prohibition was intended to improve, even to ennoble, the lives of all Americans, to protect individuals, families, and society at large from the devastating effects of alcohol abuse. But the enshrining of a faith-driven moral code in the Constitution paradoxically caused millions of Americans to rethink their definition of morality.
