Isn't it weird to want to start a war without seeking peace first? As it is, Iran isn't even the same sect of Islam as Al Qaeda or ISIL and they are enemies of Al Qaeda. Secondly, the stuff they are angry about (the US interfering in Iranian affairs and supporting a Shah with a secret police) has been confirmed by a recent declassified CIA document.
On top of that, Iran was moving towards moderation in the late 90's (I remember writing a paper on it for a middle eastern politics class) so this sudden change in politics could have an external source! (or so I realized many years ago). Turns out there is a ton of evidence of a change in foreign policy under Bush designed to aggravate the Iranians so they will give us an excuse to invade. This is something which the media should be covering on a regular basis so people will know how hypocritical the GOP really are. Who cares? This wasn't Obama's decision it was George Bush's. George Bush signed the withdrawal agreement from Iraq. Put stuff in context willya?

Given that Dick Cheney knew Iraq would fall apart & become a "quagmire" by toppling Saddam, it doesn't seem very prophetic to me. Iraq has fallen apart because it had a power vacuum just like Dick Cheney predicted in 1994 that they would (video below).
