GOP's Height Of Hypocrisy Series Part 8: Being Civil To The Uncivil Would Be An Atrocity! Fearing the Backlash the Trump Administration Calls For Civility After Showing None Since The Campaigning Days!

Would you be civil to Hitler and the Nazis determined to take over your country? Would being civil to Hitler have stopped him? Sometimes, when faced with tyranny, lack of civility in the only way to go. But when tyrants lack civility and then use "civility" as a tactic to silence their critics then we are talking about a Democratic atrocity. For the GOP or Trump to say to be civil, given their on going and past behavior, is yet another example of the GOP's height of hypocrisy on everything under the sun.

WHAT HAPPENED TO CIVIL DISCOURSE? Members of the Trump administration were confronted by protestors while dining out at restaurants, and Jordan fears that the left is incapable of civility.



The Trump propagandists are arguing that there is no civil discourse...



Which stands in sharp contrast to thier own behaviour on video (such as "demon rats" below)...



But the best part is that Trump's own behavior makes it clear that civility is the wrong way to go as civility to a tyrant just leads to more tyranny and Trump and his Administration and Fox News are clearly as Un American and tyrannical as they come (and probably put Putin to shame!)...



Trump made fun of a disabled reporter (worse than yelling at someone in a restaurant)...



Trump encouraged violence at his rallies...





Trump attacked the US Justice system base don race of the Judge...




Not to mention the "civility" Trump rhetoric is causing all across the nation...







Trump attacks women by alluding to thier periods...







Trump once asked his "second amendment people" to kill Hillary (so, obviously he would be willing to collude with Russia to win!)...




Trump attacks his opponents by calling them foreigners (un American) ...






True. People on the left turn and run when faced with any threat and must surely resemble the left of pre world war 2 Germany, who succumbed to the hatred and hateful rhetoric of the Nazis authoritarians and fascists (who are basically an older form of trump ism but derived from the GOP and its discriminatory stances).

Here are some people, of media matters, begging the left wing "news" media - and totally debunking the rights 'civility" argument in the process - not to succumb to false rhetoric they are supposed to face down as "the fourth estate"...































Trump allies pushing the narrative to support unconstitutional politicians (tyrants) to harm America through its power in the media?...




















Media are rich people with no empathy!







































The hypocrisy of this debate and the ridiculousness of the argument that one should be civil to traitors out to destroy the constitution and everything America stands for should be self evident by now.

Oct 10, 2017: Political Insults In American Politics Are As Old As the Republic


It may seem that name-calling has reached its high water mark in American Politics. However, in actuality political insults in the U.S. are as old as the Republic.
Thomas Paine, who wrote the 1776 pamphlet Common Sense, was a vociferous critic of President John Adams. He enjoyed belittling the President. He once deadpanned: “Some people talk of impeaching John Adams, but I am for softer measures. I would keep him to make fun of him.”
In 1800, while seeking re-election, Adams was involved in arguably the dirtiest Presidential campaign in American history against his arch-nemesis Thomas Jefferson. Jefferson hired political pamphleteer James Callender to attack Adams’ reputation. Callender successfully spread a mendacious rumor that Adams’ ambition was to order an invasion of France. Adams coefficients labeled Jefferson: “a mean-spirited, low-lived fellow, the son of a half-breed Indian squaw, sired by a Virginia mullatto father.”
Adams son, John Quincy Adams, had a similar rivalry with his Presidential successor Andrew Jackson. Adams’ supporters referred to Jackson’s wife Rachel as an “adulteress” because she had not completed her divorce from her first husband. Mrs. Jackson died days before the election. An inflamed Jackson put the blame on Adams for his wife’s death, averring: “May God Almighty forgive her murderers as I know she forgave them. I never can.”
In 1833, Harvard University awarded an honorary degree to President Andrew Jackson. John Quincy Adams, a Harvard University alumnus, boycotted the ceremony. Adams had lost his re-election bid to Jackson in 1832. In his diary, Adams called Jackson, who had no college education: “A barbarian who could not write a sentence of grammar and hardly could spell his own name.”

Negative campaigning in America was sired by two lifelong friends, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson. Back in 1776, the dynamic duo combined powers to help claim America's independence, and they had nothing but love and respect for one another. But by 1800, party politics had so distanced the pair that, for the first and last time in U.S. history, a president found himself running against his vice president.

Things got ugly fast. Jefferson's camp accused President Adams of having a "hideous hermaphroditical character, which has neither the force and firmness of a man, nor the gentleness and sensibility of a woman." In return, Adams' men called Vice President Jefferson "a mean-spirited, low-lived fellow, the son of a half-breed Indian squaw, sired by a Virginia mulatto father." As the slurs piled on, Adams was labeled a fool, a hypocrite, a criminal, and a tyrant, while Jefferson was branded a weakling, an atheist, a libertine, and a coward. In fact, Adams and Jefferson spent much of the election season at their respective homes in Massachusetts and Virginia.


But the key difference between the two politicians was that Jefferson hired a hatchet man named James Callendar to do his smearing for him. Adams, on the other hand, considered himself above such tactics. To Jefferson's credit, Callendar proved incredibly effective, convincing many Americans that Adams desperately wanted to attack France. Although the claim was completely untrue, voters bought it, and Jefferson stole the election. Jefferson paid a price for his dirty campaign tactics, though. Callendar served jail time for the slander he wrote about Adams, and when he emerged from prison in 1801, he felt Jefferson still owed him. After Jefferson did little to appease him, Callendar broke a story in 1802 that had only been a rumor until then -- that the President was having an affair with one of his slaves, Sally Hemings. In a series of articles, Callendar claimed that Jefferson had lived with Hemings in France and that she had given birth to five of his children. The story plagued Jefferson for the rest of his career. And although generations of historians shrugged off the story as part of Callendar's propaganda, DNA testing in 1998 showed a link between Hemings' descendents and the Jefferson family. Just as truth persists, however, so does friendship. Twelve years after the vicious election of 1800, Adams and Jefferson began writing letters to each other and became friends again. They remained pen pals for the rest of their lives and passed away on the same day, July 4, 1826. It was the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The slurs flew back and forth, with John Quincy Adams being labeled a pimp, and Andrew Jackson's wife getting called a slut. As the election progressed, editorials in the American newspapers read more like bathroom graffiti than political commentary. One paper reported that "General Jackson's mother was a common prostitute, brought to this country by the British soldiers! She afterward married a mulatto man, with whom she had several children, of which number General Jackson is one!"

What got Americans so fired up? For one thing, many voters felt John Quincy Adams should never have been president in the first place. During the election of 1824, Jackson had won the popular vote but not the electoral vote, so the election was decided by the House of Representatives. Henry Clay, one of the other candidates running for president, threw his support behind Adams. To return the favor, Adams promptly made him secretary of state. Jackson's supporters labeled it "The Corrupt Bargain" and spent the next four years calling Adams a usurper. Beyond getting the short end of the electoral stick, Andrew Jackson managed to connect with voters via his background -- which couldn't have been more different than Adams'. By the time John Quincy was 15, he'd traveled extensively in Europe, mastered several languages, and worked as a translator in the court of Catherine the Great. Meanwhile, Andrew Jackson had none of those privileges. By 15, he'd been kidnapped and beaten by British soldiers, orphaned, and left to fend for himself on the streets of South Carolina. Adams was a Harvard-educated diplomat from a prominent New England family. Jackson was a humble war hero from the rural South who'd never learned to spell. He was the first presidential candidate in American history to really sell himself as a man of the people, and the people loved him for it.
