Ron Paul is not running for King. He is FOR increases in the power of The People VS States VS Federal Govts.
i.e.

1. Part 1...
Note: Ron Paul has been consistent over many many years!
2. Part 2...
Note: Ron Paul believes the War on Drugs is NOT working. This view has historical precedent, see the PBS show on Prohibition.
3. Part 3...

Note: Ron Paul believes in 'free markets' yet there are strong views on regulations that protect property - i.e. this isn't the pure market economy as envisioned in the economic models of perfect competition, market economy and Laissez-Faire Capitalism (i.e. see "constitutional capitalism" below). Ron Paul has also mentioned, in other interviews, that there would need to be a transition. In other words, a model has to be discussed and implemented to help the country move to the way the constitution originally envisioned it 'according to Ron Paul'. Also note that the constitution provides for 3 branches of government and all the States with the freedom to move around in its own internal regulatory structure would create a unique market structure that would approach the ideas of free markets as long as the rest of the economic structures remain the same (i.e. across the world). Plus, avoiding empire/nation building seems to be written into the constitution, and that would save allot of money!

Constitutional Capitalism Explained:

The US Constitution has 3 BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT...
The above is an interview of Justice Sandra O Conner the website she is promoting is Our Courts.Org

These three branches of government contain the structure - laws, courts, contract laws, property rights - that structures society and was the vision and gift of the Founding Fathers.
The capitalism the GOP espouses is exactly what the Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution to avoid. i.e. Laissez Faire Capitalism's Robber Barons and another reason for mixed economies (or "Constitutional capitalism") ...
the only difference is that our monarchy is an oligarchy of corporations... who, apparently, are people too!
(Note: When Romney says "Whose pockets" he's doing Sophistry)

{Constitutional Capitalism Comments} I'm sure there's a place for privatization. The problem with the "Government" messing up projects, for example roads, is corruption. Keep in mind that the government - according to the US Constitution - is for "we the people". When the government is not working for "we the people" we have to put it right. Giving it all to greedy corporations, is just silly... and unconstitutional.

Note:

In the Constitution - of "we the people" (I keep saying this cause the Koch Brothers are trying to 'drown the Government in a bathtub', I just want people to realize that that's UNCONSTITUTIONAL) - it's THE PEOPLE that are in the Government. Right now it's JUST corporations (Koch brothers are a major player in treason BUT NOT THE ONLY ONES) - When Ron Paul is referring to "socialism" he is taking about the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CONTROLLING STATE GOVERNMENTS - which means that rather than 52 State Governments there is just ONE GOVERNMENT! The following is the state of the Corporate-Government OF The United States of America...
